Training and Technical Assistance

We provide training and technical assistance to all school-based health centers (SBHCs) across New Mexico. This includes support to ensure access to best practices with operations, sponsorship, marketing and promotion, billing and reimbursement, and clinical care practices. We collaborate with both healthcare and educational partners to create and disseminate a wide range of tools and resources that support the creation and sustainability of specific SBHCs and the model more generally. NMASBHC is an affiliate of the National School-Based Health Alliance and collaborates with our national partner and the 25+ other state affiliates across the country to share expertise and tools.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The following adopted values are those which our organization's staff and Board are working to accomplish:

We believe in universal access to affordable, high quality health care provided in schools and communities because good health is essential for student success, and health care, like public education, is a right.

We believe in advocating for the health of children and youth and for the provision of high quality, accessible, confidential, comprehensive, integrated, and culturally competent health care in schools.

We believe in celebrating diversity in the community of students, parents, providers, and schools.

We believe that SBHCs, as a valuable component of the healthcare delivery system, should be appropriately funded and reimbursed.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
