Mission

VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center strives to bring top quality outpatient neuro-rehabilitation care to disabled military veterans, children and to ALL who are in need. VIP treats ages 4 years old and up. VIP's focus is on those who have difficulty moving secondary to Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injury, ALS, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injury and multiple traumas. VIP's primary focus is to provide an environment where each and every day patients are challenged physically in a supportive and caring surrounding; always mindful of the emotional and physical limits of each patient in their progress towards becoming healthier and stronger.

Notes from the nonprofit

Since 2011, VIP has grown into a stand-alone non-profit center providing physical therapy, clinical research surrounding rehabilitation, educating clients and families regarding neurological conditions and supplying resources about nutrition, stress reduction and the benefits of exercise. VIP's ultimate goal is to provide physical therapy at little to no cost. VIP is setting the ground work to pay off loans for the specialized equipment housed at VIP. Through partnerships with foundations and businesses here in San Diego, VIP believes that some day, every person wanting to pursue therapy will be given that opportunity at VIP regardless of financial constraints.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center is striving to never turn away a patient due to financial need. In 2015, the VIP Scholarship Program which offers free physical therapy to the most deserved populations residing here in San Diego County: military, veterans, and economically disadvantaged individuals was created. VIP has set a goal to raise $25,000 annually to support the VIP Scholarship Program and would be honored to receive any contribution toward our goal. If this is achieved, VIP would be able to provide 250 hours of therapy for free each year!

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

VIP NeuroRehabilitation Center strives to bring top quality outpatient neurorehabilitation care to disabled military veterans, children and to ALL who are in need. VIP treats from age 4 years old and up. VIP's focus is on those who have difficulty moving secondary to Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Brain Injury, ALS, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and multiple traumas.

VIP's primary focus is to provide an environment where each and everyday patients are challenged physically in a supportive and caring way; always mindful of the emotional and physical limits of each patient in their progress towards becoming healthier and stronger. VIP is seeking partnerships with foundations and businesses here in San Diego that are willing to financially support a scholarship program that will offer discounted or free therapy to economically disadvantaged individuals living with a neurological condition.

VIP is has taken on active role in developing strategies that will promote VIP so that it will be recognized for providing physical therapy services in a non-profit arena. VIP is actively applying for many grants and working to build relationships with foundations that currently support the VIP Scholarship Program. Additionally, to show our own commitment, 10% of all donations are earmarked for the VIP Scholarship Program.

In the local community, VIP is developing relationships with business owners, medical providers and medical facilities so that all are aware of VIP and the services offered. As the relationships develop, VIP hopes that the exchange will be beneficial for both sides.

VIP's Administrator has a degree in marketing and is well poised to set-up strategies for securing an online and print media campaign promoting VIP's programs and services. Further, VIP's President has professional experience in developing properties throughout San Diego and is well aware of the income variances in this community.

VIP has achieved the goal of providing $25,000 of free physical therapy through the VIP Scholarship Program in 2017 and is poised to reach this goal in 2018. The VIP Scholarship Program has supplied scholarships to 15 patients and their families!

Additionally, VIP began hosting an annual fundraiser in October of each year to assist in fundraising for their financial needs. They just completed their 4th Annual Fundraiser ins 2018 and have greatly enjoyed seeing this event grow each year!

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
