Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.

Executive Director

Julie Evans

According to my father, I have always been a social worker, so it was apparently no surprise when I chose the field as my profession. I have had the privilege of serving individuals in many diverse settings (HIV/AIDS, homeless healthcare, breast cancer and Parkinson disease) whether as a social worker or a nonprofit executive. When the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of Casa de la Luz Foundation presented itself, it was the perfect melding of my life’s work. I’m able to connect caring donors, who want to enhance the end of life experience, with hospice patients who are unable to afford necessary items and services not covered by insurance. My goal is to effectively, efficiently and passionately lead the Casa Foundation into a prosperous and impactful future.
