Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goals are to provide assistance through charitable efforts to those individuals, families or organizations in the community during time of hardship, injury, loss, or other unmet needs, or from unnatural or natural disasters, or occurrences that involved a firefighter performing his or her duty.

Increasing our fundraising efforts by establishing and organizing events, providing a scholarship application program to all high school seniors.

Continuous fundraising efforts, by providing new and exciting ways to fundraise to engage our community.

We've been able to continue our efforts in raising funds for MDA through our Fill the Boot Campaign, providing children in need with new American Made winter jackets through Operation Warm for the children in our elementary schools, continued sustainability for our burn fund that was established in the middle to late 1960's and continued efforts to raise funds for our local cancer treatment facility.

We would like to organize a golf tournament to help raise funds for the organizations we currently support, and establishing a Police & Fire Ball for the community to attend. We are currently drafting language for a scholarship fund for senior's in high school to apply.

Policies and processes
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
