Mission
The mission of the Langland Family Be A Light Foundation is to remember and honor the life of Brooke Anne Langland who died unexpectedly at the age of 17 in November of 2020. Brooke was a senior at Liberty High School in the Iowa City Community School District and a member of the award winning dance team. The foundation will utilize funds to create college scholarships for Liberty High school students, support the dance team, as well as support other local charities in Brooke's name. Be A Light today and everyday!

What we aim to solve
We aim to keep Brooke Langland's memory alive by creating a fund that will last in perpetuity. Out of that fund, we will develop sholarships for Liberty High School, support the dance team, and support other charities in Brooke's name.

The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation helps support the award winning Liberty High School Dance TEam.
Brooke Anne Langland Be A Light Scholarships
The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation provides support for Liberty High School Scholarships in Brooke's memory. These scholarships are available to Iowa City Liberty High School Seniors who are either on the Dance Team or are members of the Difference Makers. Applications are available through Liberty High School.
Senior Dance Scholarship at ISDTA
The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation sponsors one senior dance scholarship at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association State Championships. This is open to all Iowa High School senior dancers who participate in the ISDTA State Championships.
