Mission

2 Cities Church exists to change the world. Our church began in the hearts of about 20 people who gathered together in the lobby of a local Burger King restaurant to pray for our community in June of 2019. These 5 families began to have a vision to create a church that would reach across racial and denominational lines and be united through the good news that Jesus came to save sinners. We are a multi-ethnic, multi-denominational church that seeks to push back darkness in the Chattahoochee Valley and introduce people to the captain of their souls. We deliberately started our Sunday services at the Cunningham Center on the campus of Columbus State University. From this geographic epicenter of the Chattahoochee Valley, we are positioned to reach college students, the military community.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Weekly ministry and life groups

We provide weekly Sunday church services, available both in-person and online, which reach people around the world. On Wednesday evenings, we have a short broadcast specifically to teach children about the Bible. Additionally, throughout the week, groups gather in person and online to learn together, pray together, and talk about life. Once per month, we serve our communities in various ways through what is called Serve Saturday.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Oct 01 - Sep 30

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
