Seen Through Horses Campaign

There is a mental health crisis, and horses can play a powerful role in the solution.

Seen Through Horses is a peer-to-peer awareness and fundraising campaign composed of individuals, nonprofits, mental health professionals, celebrities, influencers, and businesses to increase awareness, public engagement, and raise funds to improve access to programs incorporating horses for mental health and personal growth.

The Seen Through Horses Campaign is held May 1-31 each year, Mental Health Awareness Month. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and individual donors, the 2023 campaign raised over $111,000 for 55 programs, produced 4 quality videos sharing stories of transformation, and engaged 27 celebrities and influencers sharing their passion of the benefits of horses for mental health to their collective reach of 5.8 million followers.

With your support, we look forward to the 2024 campaign amplifying awareness and expanding access to services even further!

President

Lynn Thomas

Lynn Thomas, LCSW, has been a leader in mental health services incorporating horses over the last 25 years. After developing a program integrating horses in mental health treatment while serving as Executive Director of Aspen Ranch, a residential boarding school for troubled adolescents, Lynn co-founded Eagala, the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, providing training and certification incorporating horses in psychotherapy. In the 21 years she served as CEO, Lynn built Eagala into a leading worldwide organization and influenced the rising awareness and credibility of this approach in the mental health community. In 2021, Lynn’s pioneering focus moved into creating two new organizations: Horses for Mental Health (HMH), a nonprofit focused on advocacy, public awareness, and fundraising to support professional practices enhancing mental health and well-being globally through horses, and Arenas for Change (ARCH), a learning organization providing online and hands-on training.
