Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Jump Start with the Arts
Jump Start with the Arts is an early childhood arts enrichment program that includes public performances, arts outreach programs, and teacher/parent workshops. The goal is to provide a jump-start to healthy and joyful social and cognitive development in the early stages of learning by engaging young children in memorable, educational, developmentally appropriate, and culturally diverse experiences through the Arts. Jump Start “Family Fun Night Out” is a monthly performance series for preschoolers and families. Proceeds benefit our arts outreach fund for low-income early learning centers and Head Start programs.
Ukes on the Move
Ukes On The Move! introduces children, teens, adults and seniors to music-making and songwriting via the UKULELE! The project was inspired by seeing the joy derived from learning to play an instrument, at any stage of life. You will find Ukes on the Move! in schools, community centers, after-school programs and summer camps, correctional facilities, senior centers and retirement communities.
Youth ArtBeat
CARPE DIEM YOUTH ARTBEAT AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS take place in several area housing developments, serving primarily immigrant and refugee communities and low-income children and families. These programs are offered through creative partnerships with other non-profits, housing organizations, local schools and townships.
Carpe Diem Arts and Language Immersion Camps and Retreats

Carpe Diem-Revels Community Family Sing, Song Circles and Residencies
The Carpe Diem-Revels Community Family Sing takes place on the 21st of each month. Welcoming all ages, we celebrate heritage months, birthdays and holidays, exploring diverse cultures and traditions of song, and providing opportunities to work with master teaching artists, song leaders and composers. Additional offerings include song circles, workshops and choral arts residencies, inviting participants to delve more deeply into a genre or tradition of music and prepare a program for public performance.
Second Thursday Silver Spring Community Dance
The Silver Spring Community Dance takes place on the second Thursday of every month. The dance provides an opportunity for everyone, all ages, backgrounds, and abilities (no matter how many left feet!) to participate in the experience of dancing to live music, featuring outstanding musicians and dance callers. Our belief is that a community – individuals, couples, colleagues and families, that share in the experience of singing and dancing together tend to stay together – and that participation in the arts promotes health of mind, body and spirit. Our goal is to is to create a welcoming space for children and teens, families and seniors from all walks of life, where we can embrace and celebrate the diversity of our community. Financial data
Carpe Diem Arts, Inc.
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
Fiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30
This snapshot of Carpe Diem Arts, Inc.’s financial trends applies Nonprofit Finance Fund® analysis to data hosted by GuideStar. While it highlights the data that matter most, remember that context is key – numbers only tell part of any story.
