What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Grief Support
Toby's Foundation provides resources and materials for families who experience the death of an infant (pregnancy, stillbirth, infant loss). This includes siblings of the immediate family as well.
Our non-profit has also offered grief workshops, which have included journaling, yoga, reiki and salt cave experiences for mothers who are grieving.
Safe Sleep Practices for Infants
The Little Fox - Toby's Foundation provides education and information on the importance of using the ABC's of Safe Sleep when bringing home a new baby. This information is provided for parents, caregivers, and extended family members. We partner with local organizations to provide items that will arm new parents with safe items/tools for putting baby down for naptime, bedtime, anytime. This includes pack n' plays and sleep sacks, along with sibling books through our partnership with Charlie's Kids. Toby's Foundation believes that we are a voice for each little one and every baby deserves a safe place to sleep.

Executive Director
Katie Stern
For nearly 20 years, Katie has helped construction firms grow through marketing and rebranding strategies. After the sudden death of her son Toby in 2016, at 12 weeks old, and struggling to find resources to process their own grief, Katie and her husband, Dan, started The Little Fox – Toby’s
Foundation with a mission of providing resources and support to parents experiencing grief from the death of a child, while educating on the importance of safe sleep practices for infants and bringing awareness to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Katie has written for Still Standing Magazine, City Moms Blog, Stories from the Trenches and continues to blog through Toby’s Foundation (and her own social media pages) on motherhood, grief, death, and growth. She has talked about her family’s story and Toby’s legacy on the podcasts, Yet We Thrive, Confessions of a Grieving Mother, Death Space, and Life After Miscarriage. In 2022, The Little Fox –Toby’s Foundation was chosen for the Building Bridges
