Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Education Program
We offer educational resources and professional development opportunities for teachers K-12 to learn about the disability history of the FDR Memorial in Washington, DC.
Inclusion and Accessibility
Our goal is to have the FDR Memorial be an example of best practice in access and inclusion for all visitors. In 2021, we commissioned an accessibility report of the FDR Memorial which found that the Memorial was in need of many upgrades to ensure that it was allowing for all visitors to experience the Memorial. This report was revised in 2022 in light of improvements made as a result of the 2021 report. We will continue to identify areas of concern and push for full inclusion so that the FDR Memorial can be a model of access and inclusion.
Preservation
We have two preservation goals. One is to ensure the preservation of the entirety of the FDR Memorial as a vital space in Washington, DC including its artwork and landscape. The second is to ensure that underrepresented narratives of the FDR Memorial and about the FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt era, are preserved and told as part of the FDR Memorial experience such as the fight for the FDR wheelchair statue by the disability community.

Revenue vs. expenses: breakdown
Financial data
FDR Memorial Legacy Committee
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
