Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goals are clear. We equip students with the skills they need to protect themselves from the dangers of online and in-person exploitation, sex trafficking, and sextortion. All services and programs are without cost to participants. In addition to RAISE, we focus on three primary areas:

Education & Vocational Skills: Our programs initially focused on providing basic education and vocational training to survivors in India. We have since expanded to include survivors in the USA. By bridging gaps in education and preparing for job opportunities, we empower survivors to achieve self-sufficiency and independence.

Prevention & Awareness: We strive to keep vulnerable youth safer and address the risks of sex trafficking including self-defense, and online or in-person safety seminars. We create and effectively present educational programs intended to inform and inspire teachers, caregivers, parents, and healthcare providers to recognize signs of danger while interacting with children and adolescents at risk.

Advocating for Change: With strategic collaborations at the local and state levels, we advocate for legislation to support survivors and prosecute traffickers, hence driving systemic change towards our eventual goal to create a world where all are free.

Taara offers sex trafficking victims an opportunity to rebuild and empower their lives through education
and vocational training. We are firmly committed to ending this horrific exploitation and curtailing
future victimization.

By raising awareness and providing survivors with a second chance at life through education and vocational training, TAARA has joined the efforts to combat sex trafficking.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
