Community Fund
The United Way of Ulster County targets funds to Childcare, Housing and Emergency Assistance, Literacy Training, Mental Health Services, Parent Education, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Vocational Training.
Raising HOPE: Women mentoring women to success
Raising HOPE (Help, Opportunity, Passion, Empowerment) is a woman’s mentoring program United Way created in response to a community need. Its intent is to help women in need of support develop and achieve educational and career goals in order to become financially stable and self-sufficient. Our experience has proven that having a mentor to guide, advise, and encourage is a powerful instrument of change.
Emergency and Homelessness Prevention Fund
In partnership with local donors and foundations, and other health and human service agencies, provide funds for emergency needs, housing and utility assistance.

President and CEO
Ms. Su Marcy
Su served as the Vice President of the United Way of Ulster County from 2004-2022. She became President and CEO in June 2022. Her responsibilities at United Way include oversight of all United Way functions including workplace campaigns, major gifts, finances, marketing, special events, community services, fund distribution, and program evaluation. She is also responsible for grant writing to support various United Way initiatives. She is a graduate of Marist College, the Ulster Leadership Development Institute, and Adelphi University's Excellence in Nonprofit Management Certificate Program. Su is a member of the Leadership Ulster Hall of Fame and has served as a board member for both the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ulster County Chamber Foundation. She is also a YWCA Tribute to Women Honoree for Excellence in Leadership.
