Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Special Assistance Fund
Created to support Parkinson's patients that have been affected by catastrophic events such as earthquakes, fires, hurricanes and tornadoes -- and require special needs quickly in regard to patient care. Requires application that includes medical information and primary neurological/mobility doctor of record.
Caregiver Academy
Drive Toward a Cure worked directly with OHSU (Oregon Heath and Science University) and their Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence to create a "Caregiver Academy" resource center to better support patient care needs.
"Access to Care"
The Drive Toward a Cure "Access to Care" program supports regional Parkinson's Foundation Centers of Excellence to provide grants that benefit fitness and nutritional programs, primary care training in rural communities, fund a Parkinson's Hispanic choir (to exercise vocal cords, further self esteem and during the pandemic, reduced feelings of isolation)- and more --
Centers of Excellence we've supported include those in Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Houston, New York, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
