Self-Care Retreat

Therapists will recommend their clients for our retreat & will be evaluated beforehand to decide if they are a fit for the program. During the program with the help of variety of professionals (artists, yogis, writing teachers, etc.) We will take people through hands-on coping skill activities to learn which researched category of coping mechanisms will work best for each person. Through the work of surveys & questionnaires created with mental health professionals, we will help people get a better understanding of themselves and what will work best in their life to help them maintain their emotions. Each participant will also be assigned a therapist during the duration of the program. Afterwards each person will be able to implement their specific mechanisms into their everyday life. With the tools we provide they will be able keep their emotions under control & be more mindful. Afterwards we will monitor the participants’ progress through their therapists and questionnaires.

I am 28 years old and have suffered from and grew up around mental illness my entire life. I have always known I've wanted to help people, but never knew how I would go about it. Starting this nonprofit has allowed me to find my purpose along with assisting others at the same time.
