Mission
Our mission is based on three founding principles: (1) provide a loving and safe forever home for animals in need, (2) serve as an example for others who want to start a small animal rescue in their community with little funding, and (3) educate others through events and social media about the plight of pigs and chickens who suffer the consequences of the breeding and food industries.

Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Collegiate partnerships
We partner with local universities to offer educational activities to college students looking for volunteer opportunities, projects, and fundraisers. We host biweekly volunteering events for both UNC and NC State students who want to come out and socialize with the pigs, scoop poop, and write stories about the animals. We've partnered with the UNC School of Journalism to work with students on projects related to pig homelessness, breeding, and factory farming. We've given presentations to the NC State Companion Animal Club to talk about our mission and goals, and we've done fundraisers on campus to generate funds and awareness.
