What we aim to solve
Our organization aims to transform the way people view their lawns. For the past 70 years or so, Americans have been told that the only healthy, beautiful lawn is a monoculture. We've polluted our soils and watersheds with toxic chemicals to achieve perfection in our lawns; we've also focused our collective efforts on eliminating diversity in our lawns, such as clover and dandelions, which serve as valuable food sources for pollinators. This dangerous approach to lawn care has endangered wildlife, exposed our families to carcinogens, destroyed the life in our soils, and contributed to climate change.
