What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

X-Culture Academy

Students ages 13 to 17 can enroll individually or as a group of up to 30 students, supervised by a teacher or a parent. We provide age-appropriate training (online collaboration tools, teamwork, problem-solving, business writing, and more). We put students in international teams. Actual companies present real business challenges, and the students solve them. We monitor student performance and send weekly performance reviews to students/teachers/parents. The teams present them to their client companies. The students receive X-Culture Global Collaboration Certificates. The teachers/parent instructors receive X-Culture Global Educator Certificates. The best students are invited to the X-Culture Symposium.

Dr. Vas Taras

Vasyl Taras is a Professor of International Business and a Department Chair at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is the Vice President-Administration of the Academy of International Business and the founder of the X-Culture Project. He received his Ph.D. in International HR and International Business from the University of Calgary, Canada, and his Masters in Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas. His research and work revolve around cross-cultural and global virtual teams and experiential approaches to international business education and development. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of HRM, Journal of International Management, the International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, the European Journal of International Management, and Cross-Cultural Strategic Management, and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of International Business Studies, Academy of Management Review, and Journal of World Business.
