What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Sexual Health & Reproductive Education (SHARE) Center

We provide no cost medical care including pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment. Educational support includes STI prevention and reproductive health education, at the Center and local schools, in an effort to reduce unplanned pregnancies and STIs. Prenatal/parenting education, along with material support, is also provided. Studies show that women with low-income, aged 18–24, and those cohabitating are at highest risk of unplanned pregnancies and are more likely to go without or receive late prenatal care, increasing the chances of health complications for both mother and child. 57% of our clients are between 15 and 29 years of age and 64% are unmarried. Most of our clients are also uninsured. By providing our no cost services to those at highest risk, and assisting women in obtaining Medicaid, the SHARE Center hopes to reduce health complications and increase the overall well-being of the families in our community.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
