What we aim to solve
Muslim Community Center of Charlotte or MCC functions for the worship of Allah (SWT) and the advancement of Islam in Charlotte NC. We would like to encourage the community to come to the mosque as a place to offer prayers to Allah (SWT), gain knowledge on Islam and get to know your brothers and sisters in the community.

The mission of MCC's Sunday School is to transmit knowledge, provide a safe upbringing away from negative influences, and to develop a strong character.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The Prophet (SAW) emphasized throughout his life the importance of breaking down ethnic / tribal / language barriers and uniting the whole of the muslim world as a single ummat (following).
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Welcoming. We respect and embrace everyone wherever they are on their spiritual journey.\nScriptural. We seek to comprehend and embrace the teachings of the Quran according to the lofty example of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)\nBenevolent. We care for and serve the best interests of the Charlotte community.\nRelevant. We seek to understand the mainstream teachings of Islam in our local context.\nDiverse. We see value in and empower all segments of our community across age, ethnicity and gender.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Everyone of us must try to achieve that in our Charlotte community right now. A Charlotte community built on virtue and cooperation.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
MCC management would also like to thank you for your past support. With your support, we have completed first phase of our project. We have a full time Imam (Imam John Ederer), we have since hired a youth director and started on the infrastructure (Retention pond and parking lot) project. Weather permitting, the parking lot will be ready by end of May 2020, ISA. We couldn’t have achieved all of this without the support of our community members support. ISA with your continued support, we will be able to pay off the parking lot expenses in the next couple of years. All the funds that were collected for the construction, management and operation of the Muslim Community Center of Charlotte has been through local funding from the Charlotte Community
