What we aim to solve
In 2023, Let's Save the Strays International (LSTSI) continued its dedicated efforts to address the global stray animal crisis. Through our TNVR programs, we successfully reached new regions, implemented effective veterinary practices, and empowered local communities to take control of stray populations. Our work has significantly reduced the spread of diseases like rabies and improved the quality of life for thousands of animals and the communities they live in.

Trap Neuter Vaccinate Release
The TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) project by Let's Save The Strays International LLC focuses on controlling the stray animal population and preventing the spread of rabies in under-resourced to no resouced areas. By trapping, neutering, vaccinating, and then returning animals to their original locations, the project reduces both animal suffering and public health risks.
The populations served by this project include marginalized communities in four countries that lack access to adequate veterinary care. These communities often face significant challenges in managing stray animal populations and preventing rabies outbreaks, making this initiative crucial for both human and animal health. The project primarily focuses on areas with high stray populations, ensuring that both animals and people benefit from improved health and safety.

Our goal is to change the trajectory of how a nation sees its stray animal population and to embrace them as community members or pets.
2. Global Network and Partnerships They collaborate with other organizations, such as Soi Dog in Thailand, Worldwide Veterinary Service, International Coalition Animal Management, and K9 Global Rescue, to expand their reach and resources.

Sustainable Financial Management: With a volunteer-driven approach in the U.S. and efficient use of donations, grant funding, LSTSI ensures that the majority of funds raised go directly to field operations. This financial discipline enables them to maintain and expand their programs without unnecessary overhead costs.

What We've Done So Far:
Let's Save The Strays International LLC has made significant strides in its mission to improve animal welfare in underserved communities worldwide. Some of the key accomplishments include:
1. Successful TNVR Programs: The organization has implemented Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) programs in multiple countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, and Myanmar. These programs have helped reduce stray populations and curb the spread of rabies. To date we have done TNVR on over 30,000 animals in 4 countries. We are the only organization in Myanmar doing TNVR on a large scale.
2. Community Training and Empowerment: By training local veterinarians and animal care teams, LSTSI has empowered communities to manage their own stray populations sustainably. This approach has created long-term solutions and improved animal care standards in the regions we serve.
3. Emergency Aid Efforts: In response to the war in Ukraine, the organization partnered with K9 Global Rescue to deliver over 500 lbs of veterinary supplies to veterinarians on the front lines, demonstrating their ability to respond to urgent humanitarian needs while continuing their regular operations.

Increasing Awareness and Fundraising With plans to grow their outreach efforts, LSTSI will work on raising awareness about our mission and the urgent needs of the communities they serve, while also increasing fundraising efforts to support their expanding programs. We recently received a large grant from Animals Australia for the 4th year in a row for our work in Myanmar.
