Exercise Services
Gathering Strength provides financial assistance to people with disabilities who live on low incomes to participate in therapeutic exercise at the only totally accessible gym in Louisville, Ky--the Community Fitness and Wellness gym.
Group Health and Wellness Activities
Gathering Strength creates and provides group health and wellness activities for people with disabilities such as adapted exercise, adapted yoga, stress reduction, peer support, and nutrition classes. Currently the activities are online and free of charge.
Advocacy for Inclusion of People with Disabilities
Gathering Strength advocates for inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of the community in Louisville, Ky. For example, it advocates for more accessible parking and public transportation, more accessible healthcare services, and more affordable and accessible housing.
