Womankind is a medical and wellness center providing high-quality family planning and primary health care for people of all income levels. Womankind addresses the health problems and needs with the greatest impact on our community. Included among the top health risk factors for Monroe County are four problems which Womankind addresses through our free and affordable healthcare services: ✓ High number of low-income, uninsured residents ✓ Medically underserved region ✓ Low screening rates and/or high prevalence of certain illnesses, such as breast and cervical cancer ✓ High rates of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among teens.
