Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our Mission

The Oregon Cancer Foundation empowers, strengthens and sustains those impacted by cancer in our community through education, support and financial assistance.

Please visit our website to learn more about us: oregoncancerfoundation.org

We are focused on strategically and sustainably expanding our programs to local cancer patients, caregivers, and families.

Our strategies include:
* Maintaining a dedicated staff and engaged board of directors committed to our mission.
* Creating and maintaining strong, lasting partnerships with area businesses and partner organizations.
* Engaging highly qualified and experienced facilitators to assist with program delivery and expansion.
* Increasing our base of volunteers, donors and fundraisers in our community to ensure continued financial support for our programs.
* Exploring new funding opportunities with continued focus on fulfilling our mission.

Our capabilities include:
* Years of experience offering support groups, educational classes and financial assistance.
* Strong partners in fields including: non-profit, nursing, psychology, social work, health care, hospice, physical health, communications & marketing, accounting, and more.
* A strong and committed staff and board of directors.

Oregon Cancer Foundation has strived to meet the needs of those impacted by cancer in our community for the last 13 years. Since re-organizing in 2013, we have made great strides organizationally and programmatically. The number of referrals for financial assistance has continued to increase each year and, due to strong community support, we have been able to accept 100% of eligible applicants. We have responded to the changing national (cancer) landscape by creating new programs and expanding existing offerings.

In the Summer of 2018, we moved into a new, centrally located office space that has allowed for continued growth and expansion.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
