K’s Kitten Rescue is a cat and kitten rescue in Brick, NJ. We are a registered rescue with the state of NJ (NJ non profit id 0450583435). We are an approved 501c3 organization. K’s Kitten Rescue is run solely by volunteers committed to help find homes for the cats in our community. Our rescue works within the community to help finders trap and neuter momma cats, and to socialize and rehome their babies. We also help families who must, for one reason or another, rehome their feline companions. We fully vet all our animals, and run vet and home checks on adopters. Our adoption fee is $150, which covers some of the costs of the vet services we provide. The remaining costs are covered by donations of money, food and litter from our supporters. We rescue stray cats and kittens and if they are friendly or can be socialized we fix them, get them shots, test them for FIV and leukemia and treat them for worms, fleas and other parasites and find them loving homes

Dr. Louise Wootton

Louise Wootton grew up on a farm rescuing orphan animals and caring for the animals around the farm. She now teaches Biology at a 4 year college in New Jersey where she serves as the prevet advisor. She started work in animal rescue in NJ while carrying out a TNR project at her campus and then continued the rescue work in part to provide opportunities for her students to get animal care experience during their studies.
