What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Young Wonders Early Learning and Youth Development
Young Wonders Early Learning provides early childhood education to children from five weeks to six years old. Youth Development includes before and after school care, summer camp, and tutoring to youth from six to twelve years old.
Retired Senior Volunteer Program
YWCA McLean County's Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) helps those age 55 and older put their skills and life experiences to work for their community by facilitating volunteering through carefully matched placement and providing follow-up support. RSVP is the one-stop resource for our volunteers offering a variety of opportunities with local nonprofit agencies.
Stepping Stones
YWCA Stepping Stones, the local McLean County sexual assault program, provides 24-hour assistance for sexual assault and sexual abuse victims and their families in McLean County. We are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Trained and caring sexual assault advocates can be reached anytime you need them.
This free, confidential service also serves as the central sexual assault resource for McLean County. Services focus on empowering survivors, their families, and their friends on the path of healing, building relationships with professionals and agencies that will be part of the process, and educating the community about sexual assault.
Stepping Stones also welcomes the opportunity to present information about sexual assault, date rape drugs, dating violence, or rape culture to a wide variety of audiences.
Mission Impact
All programming related to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
Labyrinth Made Goods
Labyrinth Made Goods creates opportunities that empower women who have experienced incarceration by providing professional development training, apprenticeships, and permanent employment as a part of YWCA McLean County. We reinvest all proceeds from our nonprofit social enterprise to create more of these empowering opportunities so every purchase and donation you make supports our mission. Each of our candles is hand-filled with 100 percent soy wax and premium fragrances that include blends of essential oils, extracts, and aromatic ingredients to create a unique sensory experience.
Labyrinth Made Goods also oversees and facilitates YWCA Strive, a free professional development program for individuals who struggle to secure or retain living-wage employment.
Labyrinth Outreach Services for Women
YWCA Labyrinth Outreach Services to Women offers reintegration services to formerly incarcerated women. The overall vision is to significantly reduce recidivism.
Labyrinth addresses the needs of women released from the Illinois Department of Corrections and McLean County jail who are returning to the community. We help rebuild each woman’s dignity and nurture her growth as she develops the attitudes and skills required for productive, independent living.
Upon assessing each woman’s needs, our staff and volunteers provide support and guidance for clients to obtain the resources needed to aid them on their new journey. We are a liaison to social service agencies who provide essential services including state identification, transportation assistance, medical services, education, employment skills, clothing, and personal needs.

Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30
SOURCE: IRS Form 990
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.

- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
