What we aim to solve

Revolving Stage

Whatabout Theatre is committed to providing new, engaging programming to the community on a rotating basis. We will source proposals, select a show, and guarantee a four-month run. Every four months, we’ll put up a new show.

These will be new 45-60 minute structured long-form improv performances for casts of 6-10 improvisers. The shows can include scripted and filmed elements, but the strong majority of the content will be improvised. Ideal proposals and produced shows will be those created in collaboration with the cast and Whatabout Theatre to produce a truly unique experience.

Currently offering Level 1 (Description Below) and plan to expand levels into 2024.

If you've ever considered learning improvisation, Whatabout Theatre's Improv Level 1 class is the place to start! In this class, you'll gain familiarity with improv concepts, grow your skills, and build relationships with your classmates.

After completing this eight (8) week class, you'll:
- Employ active listening tactics in and outside of scene work
- Create and embody characters with a variety of physicalities and voices
- Perform improvised scenes live on stage in front of an audience!

At Whatabout Theatre, we want our students to stay on T.R.A.C.K.
Trust in your community.
Respect yourself and others on and off the stage.
Accept people for where they start their journey.
