Our programs

Fostering the Arts!
An opportunity for at-risk youth in the foster system to come see a play for free. We reserve tickets for these youth and their caregivers to provide exposure to creativity, artistic expression, and a potential outlet for their skills and interests.
Free Community Acting Classes
We provide free acting classes to children, youth, and adults at the Nelson County Main library. The classes are scheduled intermittently. We use our Facebook page for announcements of upcoming dates.
Children's acting class topics have included characterization through play, creating and performing an original characters, moving to music, memorization of tongue twisters, and care of the actor's body.
Youth and adult class topics have included Shakespeare's sonnets as a vehicle for character creation, an introduction to the Michael Chekhov Technique on body work, voice care technique, and reopening the imagination.
All levels of experience welcome!
Summer Theater Camp
2 week day camp, engaging our community's children from age 5-18 in the theater making process. They experience front and back of stage skills and opportunities, put on an original show from begging to end, and create big awesome messes! We are seeking a sponsor to underwrite 15 scholarship tuitions for under-privileged youth for the summer of 2023.
