Founder/ Chairman

Margara Bravo

Devoting her life to advocating for the well-being of children and adults with disabilities, driven by a deep passion for research and education. Inspired by her own personal experience with sport injuries and witnessing firsthand the therapeutic impact of a service dog, she founded Owen Care. She established a top-tier training school for service dogs, carefully selecting a team that shares her passion, and high standards. Collaborating with a leading trainer in the industry, they assembled a group of individuals who are not only passionate about their work with service dogs but also live by and fully understand Owen Care's mission and vision. Her belief in paying forward the blessings, and opportunities she has received is evident as she opens her heart and expertise to our selfless heroes who tirelessly sacrifice their lives for the well-being of others. Her goal is to bring solace, support, and hope, aiming to enhance the lives of individuals facing challenges.

Policies and processes
  • We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
