What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Beyond the charm of Orange County's fun in the sun culture lies a hidden population that we do not often see: socially withdrawn, heightened sensitivity, lack of concentration, inability or difficulty performing familiar tasks at work, school or at home. They could be a co-worker, your spouse or child, a neighbor or friend. The key challenges blocking access to mental and behavioral care in Orange County are a lack of knowledge, access to quality services, the cost of behavioral care, and stigma. Without expanded prevention, intervention, and treatment, Orange County will face a growing group of people with diminished wellness and the loss of living life fully.

Norooz Clinic Foundation Programs

Norooz Clinic Foundation is a non-profit public service and educational organization. The meaning of Norooz is new day. At the Norooz Clinic we strive to assist those who walk through our doors with their journey of discovery to find their new day, their rebirth, through mental health and wellness. Norooz Clinic focuses on building and maintaining healthy relationships by identifying common struggles and providing new ways to approach them with success. We teach our clients effective skills and tools in order to give them alternative ways to think about daily problems and stressors, and overcome them with more ease and balance. At the Norooz Clinic, we treat anxiety, depression, marital dissatisfaction, anger, sexual dysfunction, and addiction. Our clinicians also specialize in treating traumas, relationship problems, domestic violence victims, grief and loss. To ensure affordability for all, we maintain sliding-scale fees, as well as offer pro bono therapy sessions and free training to our clients. Access to mental health is of paramount importance at Norooz Clinic, that is why we ensure everyone is provided the opportunity to access our services through technology by connecting to our multiple online streaming workshops.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Norooz Clinic Foundation offers youth, individuals, couples, and families affordable prevention, intervention, and therapeutic counseling services throughout Orange County. We strive to create pathways which illuminate the reality that mental health is a regular part of everyday life, and essentially overall happiness.

Through personal exploration, specialized therapy, learning workshops, and groups we assist individuals by providing them with new coping methods and alternative patterns of thinking, to dismantle individual, relationship, family stressors, and difficulties. Each person is provided empathy, understanding, and an environment without judgment to bring about positive change in their lives.

As a mental health nonprofit and educational organization, the Clinic provides support and treatment through NCF's team of professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and counselors who are passionate about providing the best care possible. Committed to helping people regardless of their ability to pay, our therapy services fill the gap of resources, tools, education, and support to those affected so they can move forward in the most healthy, happy way possible. The Norooz Clinic Foundation ensures that we prioritize our clients' needs above all else. The NCF plans to gain more community involvement and support through our outreach programs. We will continue to hire professional and experienced clinicians in the treatment of clients. For quality assurance and improvement, we will keep up to date with our outcomes through yearly program success reports. In terms of financial support, we will ensure the program's livelihood and success with continued efforts in securing grants and donations.

To date, Norooz Clinic Foundation has served more than 1,100 community members in Orange County since its inception with an average of 100 community members served quarterly or 400 annually. With over four therapy staff providing over 160 hours of service monthly at its facility in Tustin, California, Norooz Clinic has become the go-to resource for many seeking mental health support. NCF is looking to expand its services by incorporating a few different programs focusing on veterans, substance abuse, and seniors, along with support groups and seminars.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
