Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We believe that families are stronger, healthier and more successful when they are in their own housing. Homelessness/housing insecurity have long lasting traumatic effects on mothers and children. Mothers often struggle with depression and anxiety for years after experiencing a housing crisis. Children experience mental and physical health challenges and their education performance is negatively impacted. Our goal in working alongside single mothers and their children is to have long-lasting impact and positive change for both generations.

We train Neighboring Volunteer groups from local congregations or small groups and match these Neighboring Volunteer groups with a family that is facing homelessness. By connecting each family in our program to a Neighboring Volunteer group, we address the challenges that arise from social poverty as well as financial poverty. Each group helps to connect the family to resources, ideas and tangible supports that will help the family throughout their journey from crisis to stability. 100% of the families in our program are matched to a group of Neighboring Volunteers.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Apr 01 - Mar 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
