OUR MISSION "The mission of Scars Into Stars (SIS) is to serve as a domestic violence rapid response agency for women and families experiencing intimate partner violence. We seek to coordinate prevention, intervention, and support services to empower survivors towards recovery, and living independently and safely.

Education and Prevention Services

-Workshops and community outreach events that raise awareness and aim to prevent family violence.
At Scars into stars, our commitment to breaking the cycle of domestic violence extends beyond intervention to comprehensive prevention services. We believe in addressing the root causes of intimate partner violence to create lasting change in our communities.
-Preventive Counseling and Workshops:
Organize counseling and workshops to educate clients, community on healthy relationship dynamics, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
-Addressing the underlying factors that contribute to abusive behavior and empowering individuals to foster healthy relationships.
Scars Into Stars is dedicated to creating a community where domestic violence is prevented through education, awareness, and proactive interventions. Our prevention services are designed to empower women and families, foster healthy relationships, and ultimately break the cycle of violence.

Greetings! I'm Elizabeth, a proud survivor of domestic violence and the driving force behind Scars into Stars, a nonprofit committed to helping individuals like me break free from the cycle of abuse. My journey from victim to victor has ignited my passion for advocacy and empowerment. Launching in the fall of 2024 and serving the Greater Boston community, Scars into Stars will coordinate essential support and resources for women and families facing intimate partner violence, nurturing resilience and fostering a community of overcomers. Join me in transforming scars into stars and guiding the way to a brighter future for all survivors, where they are seen, heard, and believed. "Our cornerstone belief is: Love is never abuse."
