Mission
Courage For Life exists to encourage individuals to embrace their God-given courage for life. We develop resources that address the connection between emotional health and spiritual growth and make these resources available to incarcerated individuals and those with trauma, abuse, or addiction in their past or present lives. Our digital and print resources disciple individuals in their relationships with God and others by helping them identify and overcome obstacles to living the lives God intended for them to live.

What we aim to solve
God offers everyone a full and satisfying life, but not everyone embraces it. We’ve found that many struggle with difficult life experiences, which create obstacles to meaningful relationships. It takes courage to identify and overcome these obstacles, pursue healing, and embrace life fully. Courage For Life seeks to address the connection between emotional health and spiritual growth by developing and distributing emotional health, spiritual growth, and Bible study resources and making these resources available to incarcerated individuals and those with trauma, abuse, or addiction in their past or present lives. Courage For Life™ exists to help individuals embrace their God-given courage for life.

Digital Discipleship Programs
Courage For Life began its digital discipleship programs by launching weekly blogs, IGTV series, and digital devotionals and expanded its Bible app distribution to inmate tablets. Our weekly blogs and spiritual growth teaching via IGTV helps individuals who desire to grow in their relationship to God overcome their obstacles (e.g., address link between emotional health and spiritual growth, lack of awareness, discipline, knowledge, and/or skills regarding their personal spiritual growth). Our digital devotionals help equip individuals to study the Bible for themselves and to engage in personal Bible study via our Courage For Life Bible app. These digital discipleship programs further Courage For Life’s mission by fulfilling our commitment to create emotional health and spiritual growth resources to disciple incarcerated individuals, those with trauma, abuse, or addiction in their past or present lives, and anyone who desires to grow in their relationship with God and others.
Prison Ministry Program
Courage For Life offers our discipleship resources at no cost to prisons to facilitate emotional health and spiritual growth among incarcerated individuals. Our Courage For My Life discipleship resources include a men's version and a women's version workbook with corresponding DVD teaching series in English as well as a men's and a women's version workbook in Spanish. We also provide our audio Bible in English and in Spanish and other digital resources to inmate tablets at no cost. Additionally, we provide training for volunteers to facilitate Courage For My Life discipleship classes in prisons. Our Prison Ministry furthers Courage For Life’s mission by fulfilling our commitment to address the connection between emotional health and spiritual growth through discipleship of incarcerated individuals so they can grow in their relationships with God and others.
Digital and Print Resources
Courage For Life expanded its digital resources with the production of its all female-voiced audio Bible in English and now it's available in Spanish via Courage For Life app and You Version. We also launched IGTV series, weekly blogs, and digital devotionals. We published our Courage For My Life discipleship resources to include a new men’s version workbook in Spanish and English with a corresponding men's DVD teaching series, a new women’s Spanish version workbook, and a revised women's version workbook and DVD teaching series in English. We also finalized our work on the Courage For Life Study Bible for Women and Courage For Life Study Bible for Men with Tyndale House Publishers. The production of these new digital and print resources further Courage For Life’s mission by fulfilling our commitment to create emotional health, spiritual growth, and Bible study resources to disciple incarcerated individuals and those with trauma, abuse, or addiction in their past or present lives.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Courage For Life™ exists to help individuals embrace their God-given courage for life. Therefore, Courage For Life has as its goal to serve as many individuals as possible through increasing the development and distribution of its emotional health, spiritual growth, and Bible study resources, both digital and print, to incarcerated individuals, those with trauma, abuse, or addictions in their past or present lives, and anyone who desires to grow in their relationship with God and others.
With God’s empowerment and the help of Courage For Life resources, anyone can embrace their God-given courage for life and begin living the lives God intended for them.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Courage For Life will increase the development and distribution of its emotional health, spiritual growth, and Bible study resources by developing new digital and print resources, expanding its digital discipleship programs, and increasing the distribution of resources to prisons, and exploring new distribution partnerships for its digital and print resources.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Courage For Life™ can achieve our strategic goals through team member expertise, donor funding, distribution partnerships, and specialized contractor skills to develop new digital and print resources to support individuals embracing their God-given courage for life through addressing the connection between emotional health and spiritual growth. New resources and additional distribution partnerships will increase the number of people served and positively impact them living the lives God intended them to live.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
From August 2022 to January 2023, Courage For Life developed a Courage For Life Study Bible for Women and a Courage For Life Study Bible for Men with Tyndale House Publishers (available October 2023). We produced our all-female-voiced Spanish audio Bible (Old Testament Books) via Courage For Life Bible app and You Version app. January 2021 through July 2022, Courage For Life produced New Testament Books of the Courage For Life all-female-voiced Spanish audio Bible via Courage For Life Bible app and You Version app. Additionally, we published new emotional health and spiritual growth print resources: (1) Men’s version of Courage For MY Life workbook in English, (2) Women’s version of Courage For MY Life workbook in Spanish, (3) Men’s version of Courage For MY Life workbook in Spanish, and (4) Men’s version of Courage For MY Life DVD video teaching series in English.
RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS
Between 2018 and 2022, Courage For Life expanded its distribution channels by partnering with other Christian nonprofits and foundations. In 2022, we began a new partnership with Pando/God Behind Bars and continued our partnership with You Version distributing our audio Bible in English and Spanish as well as reading plans. We also partnered with a few foundations in 2021 and 2019 to sponsor the production of our all female-voiced audio Bible in Spanish and English and with LUMO Project to produce gospel videos. In 2020, we began partnering with Floodlight, a program of Prison Fellowship, Mega Voice, and You Version to distribute our digital resources.
PRISON MINISTRY
In 2022, Courage For Life served 432 incarcerated individuals in 12 prisons in 7 states. We provided resources and training at no cost to incarcerated individuals. We offer our audio Bible in 34 states via inmate tablets. In 2022 alone, we had 254,232 inmate tablets with 4,103 subscribers and a total of 162 self-reported salvations associated with listening to our audio Bible and its teachings.
DIGITAL DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMS
January 2022, Courage For Life launched its digital discipleship expansion, including weekly blogs, IGTV teaching, and digital devotionals and began its discipleship of men both behind prison walls and through our male-specific digital and print resource development and distribution. We also produced 52 new weekly blogs and 117 Instagram videos with 286,997 views and an engagement rate of 14.38%.
January 2023, Courage For Life began a spiritual growth series for its weekly teaching via IGTV to help individuals who desire to grow in their relationship to God overcome their obstacles (e.g., address link between emotional health and spiritual growth, lack of awareness, discipline, knowledge, and/or skills regarding their personal spiritual growth). We want to motivate them to pursue spiritual growth for themselves in hopes they will embrace their God-given courage for life and live the lives God intended for them to live.

Ann is an internationally known author, speaker, and passionate Bible teacher. She founded her global ministry, Courage For Life, Inc. out of a calling to share with others how God and His Word brought restoration to her life and marriage. Having personally experienced God’s grace, salvation, and the life-changing power of the Bible, Ann’s desire is to extend this same love, mercy, and encouragement to others, so they too may be reconciled to God.
