IVF Grants and Loans

Hasidah provides grants in loans, ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to pay for IVF and related expenses. Applicants need to show that IVF is necessary and has a reasonable likelihood of success; that they have financial need balanced with long term financial stability for a family; and their vision for their Jewish family. Applications are reviewed by a panel of reproductive endocrinologists and financial review committee and a final application committee. Loans versus grants are determined based on long term/short term applicant needs. Loans are administered through a partnership with the Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Francisco. Hasidah's goal is not to fund IVF, but to build Jewish families. We see ourselves as investing in a vision for a Jewish family. We are open to singles, couples, LGBT and all denominations.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
