Executive Director

Esther Blevins

Esther Blevins is a Cuban-American, first-generation American immigrant and a recent transplant from Knoxville, TN. In 2021, She earned her master's degree in arts administration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Esther is an alumnus of Opera America's highly competitive Leadership Intensive program, which has a strong emphasis on DEI work and dismantling white supremacy. She also served as the Change Network team captain for Knoxville Opera in 2021. Esther relocated to Minnesota in September 2022 to work as the Associate Institutional Giving Director of MN Opera. She started the MN Transplant Project in response to rising anti-trans legislation across the country, the realization that her new home was a trans-refuge state, and her strong conviction that inaction and silence only ever benefit the oppressors and never the oppressed.
