Mission

The mission of the Friends of Greenlawn Cemetery as a group, is to plan and execute the restoration of Greenlawn Cemetery, collect, and organize documentation of those who have been laid to rest in the cemetery, preserve historical documents and the stories of those individuals who are buried at Greenlawn, and secure permanency of perpetual care and historical status to provide a place of honor with consistent access for the families of loved ones and the larger community. This will allow for the recognition and remembrance of the contributions of those who have gone before us.

Veterans Tribute

We will be forever grateful for all the partners,
organizations, and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to
uncover Green Lawn Cemetery and position us to make
previously inaccessible graves available for families to find
their loved ones. There is still much more work to be done
and we know that if we do not maintain what has been
accomplished, Green Lawn will again be taken over by
weeds. As part of our responsibility as a “Grateful Nation”
we are asking everyone to commit to the upkeep of a section
of Green Lawn Cemetery. We have commitment cards
available and the names of Landscapers if you prefer to
make arrangements for them to maintain your section.
We also ask that everyone with a loved one at Green Lawn
complete a “Burial Location Family Contact Sheet”.

This will help us to assist you in finding your loved ones. Even if
you know the location of your loved ones, please complete
the form so we can update our records.
