What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Canine Behavior Support Services

Through generous funding from donors, we are able to provide a service for those in need of training for their dog(s). Priority for scheduling will be given to dogs at risk of being surrendered to a local animal shelter or having behavior issues that are related to the health and safety of the animal and people in the household.

Aska's Animals works to support keeping pets in their homes through a variety of methods. One of the primary reasons that animals are brought to shelters is for behavior problems. We are working to address this issue while the dog is still in the home with a family to create a more harmonious existence at home. Aska's Animals only uses positive reinforcement methods and enlists the help of trainers who use behavioral science to guide their methods.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

In 2023, we aim to expand our canine behavior services to the community and to partnering organizations.

Currently, we are hiring a FT Canine Behavior Manager to oversee and manage all behavior cases and training opportunities with dogs in our program and in the community.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
