What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Master of Arts in Christian Ministry
Fletcher’s M.A. in Christian Ministry will prepare students to serve in a variety of vocational ministry roles, in local churches, in nonprofit ministry, and in denominational leadership. Students will leave the program prepared with skills that will ensure they are an asset to whatever organization they serve.
Students must complete 36 hours of coursework in the core graduate curriculum. If taken in a normal sequence, the M.A. program will require four terms of study. This means that with Fletcher’s trimester model, a student can obtain an M.A. in less than 18 months. At the end of the program, if students wish to continue, they may change their degree program to a Master of Divinity and continue in their studies, as all M.A. classes serve as part of the M.Div. core curriculum.
Master of Divinity Degree
The purpose of the Master of Divinity degree is to provide professional training to individuals expressing a call to vocational ministry in service to the local church and broader ministry contexts. Students gain intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and vocational skills needed to serve successfully in religious life, either in professional ministry within local churches, denominational offices and appointments, para-church organizations or community non-profits. The M.Div. prepares graduates to pursue continued theological education at more advanced and terminal degree levels.
M.Div. students complete all of the course requirements for the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry, in addition to 42 additional hours of advanced study and electives. This allows Master of Arts students and M.Div. students the benefit of peer learning as many of their classes will directly overlap.
Fletcher Certificate Program
The Fletcher Certificate Program prepares servant leaders for Christian ministry in a globalized world, emphasizing practical training for all types of ministry. Fletcher’s Certificate program is forward thinking, student centered, and one-hundred percent online. Certificate graduates will obtain a practically driven professional certification, gaining both understanding and skills necessary to serve in Christian Leadership.
The Certificate Program provides practical skills to ministers, educators, business owners, congregational lay leaders, denominational workers, and military personnel.
Community Education Program
Fletcher Seminary is committed to the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Our community education program ensures that lay and ordained individuals serving in churches, non-profits and community organizations have access to relevant continuing education on topics that address their needs.
Each workshop is first offered in the San Antonio metro region, and then in other communities depending on their need. Whenever possible, Fletcher adjunct faculty and staff travel to those communities to deliver the workshop in person. Where necessary, online programs are also possible.
The Fletcher Network
Our promise to our master’s level graduates is that they will receive one free year of coaching or mentoring upon receiving their diplomas. We also have a heart for congregational vitalization and offer Fletcher Network services to ministers and laity. A Fletcher Network ministry mentor or coach will consult on sight with congregations at their request, assisting in their efforts to make changes to successfully build a dynamic and effective congregation. The Fletcher Network helps ignite church health, energy, and purpose.
The mentoring and coaching provided by The Fletcher Network may be one-to-one, or in conjunction with a peer learning group. We are committed to the success of your church, and are committed to helping your congregation identify solutions to both persistent and emerging challenges in church leadership.

Financial data
Jesse C Fletcher Seminary
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Aug 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
