Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Afterschool Music Program
Volta Music Foundation’s After-School Program gives students in Title I schools the opportunity to benefit from music education. Music education has been defunded in many of these schools due to a lack of resources. Students enrolled in Volta’s after-school programs receive musical instruction, instruments, and classroom materials.
Students have access to a variety of classes, including:
Group Instrumental Lessons and Choir Classes
Music History, Theory, and Composition Classes
Community Building Sessions with Guests Artists
Volta’s After School Program meets three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm in group sessions at participating schools or using the Volta Music Foundation Google Classroom from home. Lessons are divided into two sessions of 50 minutes, each with a 10-minute break. These programs have a duration of 11-12 weeks per semester.

Financial data
Volta Music Foundation
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
