Broward County Pilot -Green Cars for Kids
Green Cars for Kids is a new South Florida-based nonprofit organization providing free transportation to healthcare services for low-income children and expectant mothers using electric cars. Our goals are to improve perinatal and pediatric health by increasing access to care for low-income pregnant moms and kids while helping to reduce carbon pollution that impacts frontline communities the most. We are an evidence-based solution to maternal and climate health crises. The pilot launched in June 2023 in Broward County, Florida, primarily serving zip code areas 33313 and 33311 with poverty rates of 20.9% and 27.4%, respectively. 57% of our clients speak Haitian Creole as their preferred language. In the first two months of service, our 1-car pilot program provided 588 rides to patients and their guardians to healthcare visits they otherwise would have missed. We are expanding in Broward and other Florida counties and can scale Green Cars for Kids to communities throughout the US.

Financial data
Green Cars for Kids Inc
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
