Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Kars4Kids supports a network of mentoring, educational, and recreational programs for Jewish youth and their families across North America through its nonprofit partner, Oorah. We take a big-picture, holistic approach, bringing school, family and community together to develop a next generation of well-rounded and productive adults, with individualized mentorship and family support giving our children a solid foundation to become active contributors to society.
In addition to partnering in Oorah’s programs, Kars4Kids promotes youth development through community initiatives such as charitable distributions, public service and child safety awareness campaigns and small grants to educational and youth-oriented nonprofits.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Kars4Kids, through the funding of its sister charity Oorah, has a full suite of programs and services carefully designed to impact every aspect of a child’s development from the academic to the social and cultural. These programs, including school placement and tuition assistance, mentoring and extracurricular programs, family retreats and summer camps, accomplish the mission of fostering the overall growth of our children. A core group of paid staff leverages the hundreds of volunteers who power these programs, offering their services as mentors, educators and camp staff each year.
Kars4Kids utilizes its extensive media network and marketing resources, both online and off, to promote and impact the wellbeing of children with awareness campaigns and educational resources for parents and communities.

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?

The organization has robust in-house marketing and operations teams to handle all aspects of the donation process, ensuring that donations are monetized efficiently and proceeds for charity programs are maximized.

Financial data
Kars4Kids Inc
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
