Mission

The Blessing of Water Inc is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to address, educate, coordinate, and provide aid and relief to those suffering from unclean water, hunger, and poverty on a local and international level.

Notes from the nonprofit

THE PROBLEM IS SOLVABLE! What it will take is every person doing what they can, but understanding what we all can do takes time. For us, it was acknowledging various things which we knew we either did not need or were useless to the kingdom of God. For others, it may also be parting with unprofitable entertainments, useless hobbies, and various vacations: but there MUST be an increase of “charity”.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The problem is not everyone can afford the means to obtain safe & clean drinking water,or their basic needs like safe shelter & life saving medical care; as a consequence they suffer from illness/afflictions directly resulting from this lack. Many people (primarily children and women) are traveling for several hours seven days a week to fetch unclean water for themselves and their families . . . water filled with harmful contaminants such as E-coli, salmonella, cholera, leeches, worms, etc. . . . and others lay ill, or with broken bones unable to afford medical care.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Bolivian Water Wells

Water projects in Bolivia, South America to bring aid and relief to those suffering from lack of access to safe and clean drinking water. Many water wells have been funded and all necessary equipment such as a tractor and drilling rig have been purchased to drill wells as much as God permits.

As of 2023 we are embarking on a Mathare Slums (which is in Nairobi, Kenya Africa) Clean Water Project.
Our goal is to distribute water filters that will last for 10+ years for each family. We have selected a local that lives in the slum that is of trustworthy character to distribute and teach the locals how to maintain the filters as well as educating locals on maintaining clean water practices and hygiene for their family.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

To relieve unnecessary suffering by bringing safe and clean drinking water to those in need. Additionally, to relieve the afflicted who cannot afford basic needs such as food, shelter, and medical aid.

The Blessing of Water Inc is working together with locals in countries affected by the water crisis with the help of public donations and contributions to establish sustainable clean water projects. Our goal is to empower trusted locals with charitable funding to purchase the necessary training and equipment such as drilling rigs, tractors, trailers, well materials, and so forth in their area and perpetually provide clean water to those suffering from contaminated and/or insufficient water sources.

Through charitable contributions we happily own a drilling rig, tractor, wagon, mud pumps and all the necessary equipment to drill wells up to 350 feet in Bolivia, South America. The diligent, hard working local Bolivian Team maintains the equipment, coordinates the projects enabling relief to be provided for many in need of safe and clean drinking water as well as other life saving needs.

With the help of donors we have not only drilled 25 wells that supply safe and clean drinking water for numerous people (including a school in Bolivia), but have also funded numerous life saving/bettering medical surgeries.
We plan to expand to Nicaruaga, and Kenya, Africa where we have found local, trustworthy, competent and caring people we can train and equip to either drill wells and/or provide filters for safe & clean drinking water in their area. This technique is how we will accomplish future expansions to other countries.
We will continue to accomplish great things around the world with the Team work, that makes the Dream work!

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.

President

David Valderrama

David Valderrama along with his wife learned about the water crisis in 2015. We learned more about the universal water crisis; that many (primarily children and women) are traveling to and fro for several hours seven days a week to fetch unclean water for themselves and their families; water contaminated with E-coli, salmonella, cholera, leeches, worms, etc. The Valderrama's were inspired to help solve this issue. David Valderrama set his heart to figure out how to start a Non-Profit so that he and his wife along with those who have a heart for the cause could start making a difference in the lives of those in need. David is pleased to see TBOW prosper and to inspire others to be the change they want to see in the world. The Valderrama's saw the opportunity they had to do something rather than just watch it happen from a distance. His efforts along with the TBOW Team have provided a drilling rig for those in need in Bolivia, South America, as well as brought relief to many in need.

Vice President

Tsipporah Valderrama

Tsipporah Valderrama came across some YouTube videos back in 2015 showing the effects of those without clean and safe drinking water. She had no idea about the diseases that come with a lack of clean water. Her heart was burdened, but also inspired as she learned the problem is solvable. After discussing the need people have for safe and clean drinking water with her husband together they were inspired to be a part of solving this issue rather than just watching videos feeling helpless. Putting their skills together they were able to establish The Blessing of Water INC and are thankful for all who have joined the Team to make the Dream Work of relieving those in need not only of safe and clean drinking water but also life's basic needs that everyone should have, such as food, shelter, & medical care.
