Mr. Terry Hand
Terry Hand moved to Naples, FL in 1988 after graduating from the University of Illinois and became a small business owner. His volunteer leadership work began in 2005, after the loss of his first wife to breast cancer. He wanted to support his children and others who had brokeness in the family. His first volunteer experiences were leading youth in church confirmation classes and beginning in 2010 taking them on international mission trips to an orphanage in the Bahamas. In 2011, after 23 years in retail and wholesale sales, he pursued a call into full-time ministry as the Youth Director at North Naples UMC and later as the Adult Discipleship Director. Terry's positions at the church created opportunities to lead teams to serve at local organizations such as Grace Place, New Horizons, Immokalee Friendship House and many more. He continued leading several weeks of international mission trips per year with over 90 participants annually. His work with orphanages truly touched his heart to the plight of the orphan and in 2015, he and his wife Jennifer, became foster parents. Shortly thereafter, Terry left his position at NNC and began organizing Youth 4 Orphans as a 501(c)3 and continues to give vision and leadership.
Jennifer is a native of Texas and has been a resident in Naples, FL since 2023. She is a Board Certified Master Mental Health and Professional Life Coach, as well as a Certified Church Business Administrator. Her career path has spanned from the mortgage and title industry as a small business owner and over 10 years as a Business & Accounting Administrator in a large church setting. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Intercultural Studies through Global University. She is the lead content writer for the Advance the Faith Academy, an online discipleship and mentoring program.
Her call to work with vulnerable children came in late 2010 and she has embraced working in mission to break the cycles which lead to orphans. She has mentored dozens of young women through crisis, faith building and life transitions.
