Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

The pARTner Project

The pARTner project provides artists on the outside, ages 18 and over, with an opportunity to foster connection with artists in prison through written correspondence and the exchange of creative works. Unlike typical penpal programs, the pARTner project’s focus on the arts provides an immediate point of connection — a common ground shared by all who have felt the power of creative expression in shaping who we are, how we see the world around us, and how we see ourselves. For those participating in the pARTner project, art and creativity become the catalyst for mutual support, encouragement, and inspiration.
An orientation is REQUIRED for all pARTners before beginning correspondence. A JAC team member will orient you on the pARTner project, provide details, and answer any questions you might have. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions!

Participants send their responses to the prompts and activities in the packets back to the CorrespondARTS team for feedback and reflections. Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
