FIRST Robotics Competition Team - ('Cryofrost' Team 1555)

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build robots capable of competing in that year's game that weigh up to 125 pounds (57 kg). Robots complete tasks such as scoring balls into goals, placing inner tubes onto racks, hanging on bars, and balancing robots on balance beams. The game, along with the required set of tasks, changes annually. While teams are given a kit of a standard set of parts during the annual Kickoff, they are also allowed and encouraged to buy or fabricate specialized parts.

Population(s) Served
Adolescents

Esports short for electronic sports, is a form of competition using video games. Esports often takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, played individually or as teams.
STEM-related skills are crucial to any esports athlete: deep engagement with computer technology, statistical analysis for scouting, and strategizing pre-match and mid-match. Students foster skills in areas like conceptual thinking, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our in-house team 'Permafrost' is students 7th-12th grade competing against other middle and high school-based teams on the East Coast and Central Time Zone. The team will also attend in-person local events to compete and meet local players and teams.

VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) is a robotics competition for registered middle and high school teams that utilize the VEX V5 Construction and Control System. In this competition, teams design, build, and program robots to compete at tournaments. At tournaments, teams participate in qualifying matches where two randomly chosen alliances of two teams each compete for the highest team ranking. Before the Elimination Rounds, the top-ranking teams choose their permanent alliance partners, starting with the highest-ranked team, and continuing until the alliance capacity for the tournament is reached. The new alliances then compete in an elimination bracket, and the tournament champions, alongside other award winners, qualify for their regional culminating event.

Our in-house team 'Frostbyte' is made up of middle school students from our area. They focus on learning about the engineering process while they design, build, and program a robot to compete in a game each year.

Population(s) Served
Preteens

The VEX IQ Robotics Competition provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics and research project challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. A VEX IQ Robotics set is used, with plastic pieces that snap together using pegs, and it is extremely easy to construct a robot. The students use graphical software to program the robot. There are two parts to the contests: Robot Skills, which is a single robot trying to score as many points as possible, and the Teamwork Challenge, where two robots attempt to work together to complete the same task.

Our in-house team 'Frostline' is made up of upper elementary students that focus on designing, building, and programming a robot for the competition each year while they use the engineering process

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jul 01 - Jun 30

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
