Mission

Our organization is dedicated to advancing the careers of black accountants, finance, and business professionals through education, support, and networking opportunities. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community where our members can learn, grow, and succeed in their chosen fields. Through our programming and partnerships, we aim to increase the representation and visibility within the wider business world. By fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of leaders in accounting and business.

VITA

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is an opportunity for the local community to interact and receive tax assistance from DFW-ABA professionals. From January to April 15th, our volunteers prepare tax returns, pro bono. This program is geared toward assisting low-to-moderate-income individuals who cannot prepare their tax returns.

Willie Sublet III is a highly experienced Operations and Talent Specialist with over 20 years of industry experience. He has worked in various fields, including real estate, education, consumer goods, and business development thus allowing him to tailor an array of skills to meet the unique needs of any client. Willie is a sought-after speaker and consultant, known for his ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential, with a focus on training and development, public speaking, organizational leadership, and operational management. He currently serves as the President of the DFW Alliance of Black Accountants and volunteers as a leadership and development consultant for various non-profit start-ups. Willie is also the Board Chairman for Red Iris LLC. He also serves on the board of Kids Who Care within their Development committee. Willie can often be found wrestling with his highly energetic 10-year-old son or enjoying time with his family on a cruise.
