EIN: 26-3833322

Mission

Best Buddy Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 and became a 501c3 non-profit in 2010. As of 2023, the rescue has saved over 4,000 cats and dogs that were not receiving proper medications they regularly need or had been neglected or abandoned winding up at animal control shelters. Our goal is to save as many as we can and/or prevent them from having to go into shelters in the first place. Most of our animals come from shelters, but we also take in owner surrenders and assist with feral kittens where trap-neuter-return programs are in process. We are committed to never leaving a mother behind and providing all the medical care necessary for any of our animals. We are a 100% foster and volunteer based program, with no paid employees and we rely solely on donations from the public.

Balance sheet

Fiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31

SOURCE: IRS Form 990 info

The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
