A world using art to heal & connect

Mission

“Bohemiare increases accessible connections between people and nonprofits, enhancing messages with story-telling art." Bohemiare offers artwork that supports the missions of many nonprofits. Nonprofits accomplish more by combining art exhibitions with other activities at their events. The story-telling art increases attendance, encourages dialog among event attendees, and promotes understanding, tolerance, and support of important social issues. While art is an excellent communication tool, the traveling expenses and professional rental fees involved with exhibitions are usually cost prohibitive to nonprofits. Bohemiare makes traveling art exhibitions available for nonprofits' events at little to no cost. Exhibitions are currently offered throughout the Italy and USA.

This ArtCHivio installation was debuted in 2016, Sale ex Monte di Pietà - Palazzo Comunale Via Saffi, Spoleto Italy. Partnered with World Wildlife Fund and debuted with the MIZZOU, University of Missouri in 2006.
Using brilliant colors - combined with sobering graphic black and white images and hints of orange red charcoals, a poignant expression suggestive of this animal's fate, Owens’ art creates a dynamic tension between art and reality. This global environmental exhibition educates us on how wild tigers are making a come back.

Working with wild tiger biologists, Owens’ images tell the story of Tigers Facing Extinction. After learning of "Save The Tiger Fund .Org’s" Campaign Against Tiger Trafficking, Francesca created art that drew international attention to the various illegal trade threats facing wild tigers.

The series is available in the USA and Italy as there are two or this exhibit.

Partnered with AVIS (Voluntary Italian Blood Association), a traveling exhibition within Italy for autoimmune and Neurological disorders.

Close to 100 artworks, using all median types... watercolor, gouache, acrylic, leather, wood, ready-made items, recycled debris to collage. Each work is titled and created in the style of a (usually) deceased artist, well-known or maybe not, who during their lifetime lived and suffered with ongoing tragic events that often consumed them. Personal experiences of family members, loved ones, neighbors or themselves suffering from chronic illness, nervous breakdowns, mental illness, violent accidents or deaths, genocides, starvation, war zones… events that shaped their life, driven to make art, even if the style did not always appeal to the masses.

This very vibrant, multi textured exhibition invites you to see the styles of Modigliani, Lautrec, Van Gogh, Dali, Miller, Picasso, Pollock, Kahlo, Munch, von Hagen, Demuth, Matisse, Duchamp, Munch, Monet, Sher-gil, Rothko, O'Keefe, Kusama, Cassandre, de Goya, Chin, Claudel. Bacon, Johnson, Arosenius and many more.

A secret glimpse into the room where most do not want to go, the IV ward of our hospitals where blood illnesses, autoimmune disorders and chemo patients spend their life. Within this room, patients learn to ask other patients that taboo question, "What's your cocktail?" They respond by saying their pharmaceutical IV drug name, then afterwards, they slowly start disclosing their illnesses... cancer, CVID, autoimmune disorders, hemophilia, genetic malfunctions, etc. This unusual installation brings you inside this secret world.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Bohemiare increases accessible connections between people and nonprofits, enhancing messages with story-telling art. Bohemiare offers artwork that supports the missions of many nonprofits. So, Bohemiare makes traveling art exhibitions available for nonprofits' events at little to no cost. Exhibitions are currently offered throughout the United States and throughout Umbria, the region of Italy surrounding Spoleto.

BOHEMIARE's strategies followed between 2006 through 2016 included a variety of traveling art exhibitions, medical research crowd sourcing and film projects.

BOHEMIARE's volunteers identify charitable and educational events that relate to the social issues selected by the applicant organization's directors. Nonprofit organizations use charitable and educational events to communicate with the public regarding social issues such as health care, community development, cultural awareness, environmental protection, human rights, and other subjects that affect the quality of life.

Events take many forms and may involve charitable services, educational seminars, speeches, debates, celebrity appearances, entertainment, recreational activities, and multimedia presentations. Volunteers create a database, categorizing events by issue, by supporting organizations, by the message conveyed or position taken (i.e., does the event promote or discourage action), by location, etc. Volunteers share their findings with the applicant organization.

Fundraising is our current limitation as most volunteers are fully disabled with chronic health conditions. We are dependent on their stability of health to promote BOHEMIARE's causes.

Stability of health for the volunteers who contribute to BOHEMIARE, making our cause for paid help even more important.
