What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Holistic Development
We envision a world where individuals are free to dream without the constraints and worries of hunger, malnutrition, and the limitations of illiteracy, and will make every effort to provide an environment in which individuals and communities can thrive, with the end that chronic malnutrition, hunger, and illiteracy are eradicated. UNUM International seeks to provide a holistic model of care- of the mind, body, and spirit, with the aim of improving the quality of life in a sustainable manner, so that individuals are empowered and equipped to live lives of purpose and meaning.
Construction
In Guatemala they have 2 seasons a year (Dry and Rainy Season). Unfortunately, the infrastructure of schools is not able to support weather changes and as a consequence many children stop going to school due to the heat in the classrooms, lack of electricity, roof leaking or flooding. These projects seek to create and improve the infrastructural conditions of the school facilities.
Additionally, UNUM seeks to meet the unique construction needs a community may have, improving their living conditions and overall wellness.
Dignified Homes
Although it is a basic need, access to decent housing is not a reality for at least 50% of families in Guatemala.
The objective is to offer a home with basic services so that a family can have a more dignified present and future. This is an issue that began over 100 years ago and is still very present in several parts of the country.
Some of our projects for dignified homes are:
- Water Filters
- Stoves With Chimneys
- Beds
- Animal Pens
- Toilet Construction

Financial data
Unum International Inc
Balance sheetFiscal Year: Jan 01 - Dec 31
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot survive long, but the types of assets and liabilities must also be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan, and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
